Bayer
Corporation, a multi-billion dollar research-based company with major businesses
in health care, life sciences, and chemicals, markets 10,000 products in nine
divisions. The company’s Polymers & Chemicals divisions needed
integration technology to support their North American sales force. CASAHL
Replic-Action was implemented to tie together disparate systems and streamline
data to and from the sales team.
While
out in the field selling polymer and chemical products that enhance the
appearance, performance, and technological potential of a wide range of products,
Bayer’s sales team can access vital customer, product and sales information
directly from their laptop computers so as to better serve their clients.
In addition, information gathered in the field can then be used to support
mission-critical marketing and manufacturing functions.
“We
looked at a number of different Lotus Notes data integration products on the
market,”
said Dave Johnston, Manager of Lotus Notes Applications for Bayer’s Polymers
and Chemicals divisions. “What we found was that Replic-Action was the
only tool available that provided all the functionality we needed. The
other tools required scripting to do things that Replic-Action can do with a
simple point-and-click setup. We are also pleased with the technical
support that the vendor was able to provide as we moved forward with our
application. We hope to find similar opportunities for future business
applications.”
