BFGoodrich Areospace is among the largest suppliers of aircraft systems and components serving the aviation and space markets worldwide. Products including aircraft engine nacelles, pylons, and thrust reversers; wheels, brakes, and landing gear; emergency evacuation systems; sensors; ice protection systems; instruments and avionics; and flight management and control systems are sold around the world via a 100-plus person sales force. The team needed an easy, efficient way to access vital sales and customer information; and the company needed to save time and money on training on a new computer application.

BFGoodrich used ecKnowledge 7.0 to build a complete Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. The sales team is able to use the application that is familiar to them, Microsoft Outlook, and the company did not have to spend extra time and money on training. Now, the remote sales force is able to work on their sales activities by obtaining necessary data through Outlook and report their updated information back to the company’s ERP system. Current sales and customer data is always available throughout the worldwide organization. ecKnowledge is also used to feed accurate data to quality assurance, marketing, and manufacturing.
