CASAHL and OnX Enterprise Solutions Go into Partnership to Provide Comprehensive Solutions to Help Lotus Notes/Domino Users Optimize Their Collaborative Application Environments

OnX and CASAHL go into partnership to support Canadian customers to integrate, extend, or re-engineer their Lotus Notes/Domino applications to the Microsoft platform

SAN RAMON, CA, February 8, 2006 — CASAHL Technology, Inc. and OnX Enterprise Solutions Inc. ("OnX") today announced their partnership in Canada to assist IBM® Lotus Notes® and Domino customers in optimizing their collaborative application environments. The increasing demand to increase IT integration efficiency and cost reduction has spawned unprecedented opportunities in the Lotus Notes market for optimization, including consolidation and retirement of many older programs, conversion of some custom applications to newer specialized software built specifically for that purpose, and integration, extension, and migration to optimize applications between Lotus Notes and the Microsoft® collaboration platform.

As part of Microsoft's “Power Play” program, CASAHL and Microsoft Canada are offering customers a complimentary in-depth analysis of their Lotus Notes/Domino application environment, including recommendations for the future disposition of each application. The program also includes services provided by a CASAHL-trained consultant to perform a proof of concept project (POC), free of charge to the customer, to showcase implementation of two or three recommendations as an example of some of the various optimization possibilities. The primary tool used to implement POC projects is CASAHL ecKnowledge®, which can integrate, extend and/or migrate data and applications between Lotus Notes/Domino and the Microsoft collaboration platform (including SharePoint®, InfoPath®, Office, SQL Server, and .NET).

Once customers have completed the no-fee portion of the program, they are equipped with data, facts, and a roadmap of directions regarding steps to take to optimize their remaining Lotus Notes applications. Typically, implementation of the roadmap is carried out by CASAHL's certified partners, such as OnX, with full support from CASAHL and Microsoft. Tasks may include discarding unused applications, consolidating duplicate applications, and re-engineering selected applications to run using other technologies, including Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath, Office, SQL Server, and .NET, among others.

The ease of use of the applications has created significant headaches for the enterprises in managing their environments,” according to Lasse Silegren, Senior VP of Professional Services for OnX. “The analysis phase of the Power Play program provides significant value to help an organization's IT department prioritize their projects and budget planning. CASAHL's tools and our combined expertise are key to the success of this program and have increased the confidence level of many customers seeking migration paths for their Lotus Notes applications to Microsoft platforms.”

Michelle Chua, VP of Business Development for CASAHL, who oversees the Power Play program for CASAHL, agrees that there is a good marriage of skills between OnX and CASAHL and plenty of work to go around. “CASAHL is an ISV,” she says, “our partnership with OnX provides customers with an overall solution to their Lotus Notes application environment. We need consultants like OnX Professional Services and its Canadian presence to manage these implementation projects.” To make the partnership a win-win situation for both partners and customers, CASAHL will train OnX Professional Services on CASAHL tools and processes and will provide technical support to OnX consultants in the field.
