CASAHL Technology Releases ecKnowledge® 7.5
New Upgrade for Award-Winning Data Integration Software

SAN RAMON, CA – January 31, 2002 -- CASAHL Technology, a leading provider of enterprise data integration products for Line-of-Business collaborative applications, today announced the release of its new version of its award-winning software, ecKnowledge® 7.5. The new upgrade provides more integration capability and connectivity to enterprise systems, groupware, XML, DBMS, EDI, and legacy systems.

ecKnowledge® 7.5 features the following:

jXML Connector

  • Supports DTD-based data sources
  • Enables jobs to read hierarchical XML data and flatten it into linear records (or documents) suitable for mapping into tables, views, or procedures in any other data source (DBMS, ERP, groupware, or other).
  • Supports DTD-based XML record insertion

Enhanced Security Features

  • Enhanced features for supporting secure communication among business partners interacting over the Internet
  • Supports the industry standard protocols for secure communications: SSL, secure VPN, and digital certificates

Integration with Enterprising Messaging Systems

  • Integrates with JMS-compliant enterprise messaging systems, such as IBM MQ Series. Using JMS, ecKnowledge can listen and respond to enterprise events on a real-time basis.

Email Transport Capability

  • Supports the use of HTTP, IMAP, POP3, and SMTP electronic mail protocols for transporting input or output files for certain types of ecKnowledge jobs
  • Outgoing publication files can now be transported via email to receiving partners across the Internet.
  • The new ecKnowledge Java Mail Listener component can monitor information coming in to a specified mailbox and act on it using the appropriate ecKnowledge job.

Notes Configuration Information

  • Helps resolve problems arising due to multiple Notes versions installed on the computer

XML/EDI Conversation Support

  • Translate information between XML and EDI formats or between one XML specification and another
  • Conversion can be configured to run as a stand-alone ecKnowledge job or as part of an ecKnowledge publication (out-going file is converted after processing) or subscription job (incoming file is converted before processing).

Additional Data Sources

  • ecKnowledge 7.5 offers enhanced connectivity to additional data sources through our partners.
