RAMON, CA – 26, 2001: CASAHL
Technology, a provider of information-sharing network infrastructure,
today began shipping ecKnowledge 7.1, a complete collaboration framework
for companies that need to collect and distribute vital business
information to multiple locations, without the high costs of programming
and installation of complex enterprise software at every node.
CASAHL
ecKnowledge (pronounced
e-c-Knowledge) 7.1 enables companies to collect information from one or
more locations, transport the information securely over a data network and
absorb the incoming data into a single target data. Consolidation, a
powerful new feature, combined with the product’s Broadcast distribution
and industrial-strength integration facilities, provides an efficient and
useful method to collect, consolidate, and distribute enterprise
information across LAN, WAN, the Internet, and wireless systems. Companies
with multiple branches, franchises, subsidiaries, and partners will find
CASAHL ecKnowledge to be efficient and useful infrastructure to collect,
consolidate, and distribute enterprise information. The consolidator could
be the headquarters of a worldwide organization that gathers information
from its multinational offices or a regional office that collects data
from its branches.
The
United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is using ecKnowledge
7.1 to consolidate data from states, local communities, tribal
governments, industry, and environmentalists, into a national data
exchange. Since each of the partners use various applications and systems
to collect and manage data, the challenge was build a network
infrastructure that could retrieve and broadcast vital environmental data
without requiring system or application changes at every node.
“ecKnowledge
simplifies managing the data collections to a very easy process without
any additional coding, said Chris Clark, EPA project manager. “The
easiest part of the whole central data exchange has been ecKnowledge. The
product works very well.”
“Businesses
of all sizes can utilize the consolidation and broadcast features offered
by ecKnowledge 7.1,” said Harry Wong, CASAHL president and CEO. “Using
an easy, point-and-click development environment, companies can collect
data from their various divisions on a scheduled basis as well as publish
information to regional and local sites. Global companies will be able to
rapidly build information-sharing networks and stay in sync with minimal
programming effort.”
